Here's what I've done so far

This is my graph since I started over. Well starting over as in grinding NL2, NL5, and NL10. The last few hands are from 4-tabling NL25 6max, and NL50 HU. I played the NL50 1v1 because I watched "DOG IS HEAD"'s videos, and it inspired me to play some HU. I won $100 from the first guy I played, so I just played with my winnings from there. NL10 has been not that bad, sometime swingy, but overall pretty steady as you can see. I think I'm gonna grimd NL10 until I get around $700-800, or 4-6 table NL25 6max, or 1 table NL50 HU, with a 1 buyin CAP. Hope I can keep on movin' up, and grindin the limits as I go higher.

Late night to early morning session

A 4k hand session starting with 4-tabling NL25 to 20-tabling NL10. Around 2 AM, there were no NL10 tables that were available, and I didn't feel like joining the waiting lists so I played 4 NL25 Tables. I went up about $30 there, and then I decided to drop back down to NL10, since tables started appearing. There was a bunch of regs, but it didn't seem to be much of a problem, since it is of course NL10.

Grinding...

A quite long session, at .02/.05, and .05/.1 mixed. Pokerstars doesn't have that many .02/.05 tables at 3 in the morning, so I just mixed with NL10 since they both have max BI of $10. It felt good grinding, not getting some cheese bull crap every other hand. This really makes poker fun. It was a good day today, going from about $170 to $270~. Also, my $50 dollar bonus is about 3/5 of the way there, so the $50 should give me a big boost, everything is going pretty good right now, Good stuff, good stuff. Hopefully I can keep going with my upswing tomorrow, and not run bad.

A Nice Session

Had a semi-lengthy session, I moved up to .02/.05 on stars since .01/.02 just seemed like flips every single hand, I couldn't take it. Plus my bankroll should be able to handle this limit, although I moved up prematurely. However, after this session I'm properly rolled, under my 20 BI rule, which I'm probably going to increase. I'm thinking before I hit the NL25 tables I should have 40 BIs for the limit if I'm going to multi-table like I am right now. We'll see how things go.

Day two of my journey, I played 500 hands before dinner and got my roll back to $175, recovering somewhat from last night's -2BI session. I'm going to start another session soon..

Hey, Let's play poker again!

It's winter break, let's play some poker! I had $92.50 lying around on pokerstars so I decided to play some good old fashion, non-degen poker. Hopefully this blog will help me stay true to my words. For now, I'm going to play NL2, and put the 20 BI rule in affect. When I reach $200 I'll move up to NL5, and if I lose 5 BI I'll move back down to NL2 until I get back to $200. I'll up the BI quota as I move up the limits (hopefully), since I like to multi-table, and at higher limits I'm sure I won't be able to be on cruise control.
So, I started my quest to building my roll and after 5,849 hands at NL2, I'm up to around $179. At NL2 I'm getting 37.5bb/100, so you can see I'm doing very well. Hopefully I'll move up to NL5 after 1 to 3 more sessions. I'm currently grinding out a $50 bonus as well, which is taking a lot of time since I'm playing NL2. I'm going to hit the tables now, I'll update with some hands and what not, let the journey begin!

Edit: after about 500 hands, I dropped $10. I got some good hands, but hands like AA, and KK were cracked. My eye is starting to hurt, so I think it's time for me to go hit the sack.

Title says it all, I think going to lower limits helped me a bit, mentally, time to play!

Edit 1: After a bumpy start my BR right now is $62.07. After about 40 minutes of sitting down.

A New approach

Well, after the tremendous donk beat I received, I tried to stay in and get some chips back, but I didn't really get anywhere. Although, as I'm writing this I just noticed I am up still up from that mini-session, heh, I guess that's a positive side. Anyway with my $46.92 I have in my BR, I have decided to go down a level and four table. I think I'll have a big edge against these players. Hopefully it will show.

My dilemma here is quite simple, if I was playing a person with an equal size stack, or around there, I would have obviously bet more on the flop, and turn. For example, re-raise on the flop to $2, and probably a $4 bet on the turn. However, with the other player with only a $5 stack, what do you do?

So underneath this post, was where I began tilting, running AQ, into AA, and "standard" bad beats, etc. I end up having only $24 from the highest point of $110. Long story short, I say "whatever, let's play a $20 + 2 SnG, chase my losses". Usually I play well in these as long as I get a good stack in the beginning, and what do you know, that's what I get. I play pretty tight, and knock out the 4th, and 3rd players with A10 vs 88, and JJ vs 77. With an advantage of 8:5 I feel I have the advantage, although I would feel I have an edge regardless heads-up, ( I used to play $50+5 HU when I used to have $400 BR, and went like 7-3 or something haha). In the end, my J10 proves good on a J5774 board vs his J3, and I take home $90. Maybe I should just stick to SnGs? Hmmm... For now though, I will take a break, the WC3 patch apparently came out.

Fuck this.

Running so bad today, after switching to SnGs, I enter 2 $10+1 1 Table SnG and I get out both of them with pocket Kings. First hand was to some donk who called with A4s, and the other was a three-way pot, aipf, AA, JJ, and my KK. Turn was an A, and sealed the deal for me and the Jacks. On the other hand, I did play a $3+ .5 Super Turbo, with my friend and got second for a whopping prize of $9.45. Hey atleast I didn't lose that one. So far I'm in the money 4/6 times in them. It seems I always get lucky in those. So after the 3 SnGs my BR is now at $61.35. Shitty day so far. Hope to see things change, going to 2 Table NL25. Good LUCK...

I'm not too disappointed, although I did finish under for the session, I feel I avoided many disasters. I did not get much luck, or good timing (people fold to UTG raise with aces, etc.), but I did capitalize on the small opportunities, and pots I was in. Hopefully, next session I will get more luck, and better boards when I'm ahead preflop. For now, I'm going to lie down and rest for a bit, maybe I'll fall asleep.

Monday June 30th

I started out with 7 dollars three days ago, and have built my stack up to $100. I'm playing on Full Tilt Poker which isn't that friendly towards small BRs so I feel I'm playing with a lot of variance, but I usually come out on top after every session, which I'm very thankful for. I'm hoping my streak continues up to about $200, where I can manage my BR more properly, and confidently.
